Khem Birch Signs with Fenerbahce

Familiar Location

Khem Birch has signed with Fenerbahce, a Turkish team he has played with in the past. After becoming a championship with the Toronto Raptors in 2019, Birch played two seasons with the Orlando Magic before being dealt to the Raptors in February 2022. He played in 19 games for the Raptors in 2023 and worked with Fenerbahce in July 2023.

International Career

Birch also plays for Canada's national team. Most recently, he played for Canada in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. Birch played collegiately at the University of Pittsburgh and went undrafted in the 2014 NBA draft. He holds Turkish citizenship and previously played in the Turkish Basketball Super League with Usak Sportif and Anadolu Efes.

New Beginning

Birch hopes a move to Fenerbahce will revitalize his career. He spent last season with the Raptors and Magic, where he averaged only 4.9 points and 4.2 rebounds in 19.1 minutes per game. He played sparingly in the playoffs and hopes the move to Turkey will afford him more playing time.
