Finland Receives First Batch of Patria 6x6 Armoured Vehicles
Minister of Defense Authorizes Purchase of 160 CAVS
Helsinki, Finland - Patria, a leading provider of defense solutions, has commenced the production and delivery of 66 Common Armoured Vehicle Systems (CAVS) for the Finnish Defence Forces. This latest order is part of a larger procurement contract signed in 2019, which includes a total of 160 CAVS vehicles for Finland.
The Finnish Ministry of Defence and Patria signed a letter of intent in June 2023, authorizing the purchase of the additional 160 CAVS. This latest order brings the total value of the contract to approximately €425 million.
The CAVS is a versatile 6x6 armored vehicle designed for a variety of operational roles, including troop transport, command and control, and reconnaissance. The Finnish Defence Forces will use the CAVS to replace its aging fleet of armored vehicles.
